Speed Upgrade for Luumikit! NVMe SSD Arrives.

At the start of the year, I set myself a challenge: four weeks, four finished games.
Small, but fun and complete games.

What I didn’t expect was how much of that time would be spent waiting.

Waiting for scripts to compile.
Waiting for art to load.
Waiting for assets to crawl across the screen like snails on tar.

Instead of creating, I was staring at loading bars.

It forced me to face a simple truth: our old desktop could no longer keep up with modern creative tools. In Unity, in Krita, in video editing — those long pauses, the constant bars going back-and-forth while scripts reloaded, were quietly killing the creative flow.

So there was no way around it.
If Luumikit is going to keep shipping games, the tools have to be updated.

And now our first part arrived.

This is the WD_BLACK SN850X NVMe, 1 TB. It’s tiny — but it’s blazing fast. With sequential read speeds over 7,300 MB/s and writes over 6,600 MB/s, it will completely change how the computer will feel day to day.

Unity scenes will load almost instantly.
Assets pop in without hesitation.
Script compiles no longer break concentration.

Build times will be faster.
Video editing timelines will open quicker.
Exports won’t feel like a coffee break anymore.

The computer will keep up with the ideas.

This little drive isn’t just a hardware upgrade.
It’s a workflow accelerator.

More speed.
More momentum.
Less waiting — and more creating.

Luumikit will keep shipping.
